TUPELO – A group of North Pontotoc High School art students fought tears as they tried to discuss what NPHS art teacher Gail Morton means to them. Morton was diagnosed with breast cancer a year ago but continued to teach through chemotherapy treatments, which she completed in March.

J.J. Plummer has North Pontotoc High’s football team off to a 5-0 start in his first season at the helm. Plummer credits offensive coordinator Joe Waller, a holdover from Cliff Dew’s staff, with the recent success of North Pontotoc’s spread offense.
