“Anatomy of Gray” takes place in a small town called Gray, Indiana in the 1880s. When the father of June (played by Emily Lawry) dies, she prays for a healer to come to their town, thinking that if her father had received medical attention, he perhaps wouldn’t have died. Enter a healer, a doctor named Dr. Gray (played by Colton Fruhling). The town embraces him and is so happy to have a doctor ...

In the Nov. 18 issue of the Gretna Breeze and posted on our Web site, I made unfair comments about the Gretna High School band. My overreaction and needless comments about the band has caused deserved disappointment with the Breeze from some parents and supporters of those band members.

Gretna High School One Act play will present the “Anatomy of Gray” this fall. The community of Gretna is invited to watch the play at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 22 at the GHS theatre.
Help with the FBLA food drive tomorrow (Gretna Breeze)

The Future Business Leaders of America at Gretna High School will have its annual food drive on Sunday, Nov. 15 from 1:30 to 3 p.m. This community service project will allow teams to go through the community collecting items which will be donated to the Gretna Neighbors.

The to-do list for Jackie Moore is really, really long. She has to pick up fabric and other supplies and then get to work on making costumes for the Gretna High School One Act play. This year for the One Act play, some costumes came from a costume rental shop in Pierce, Neb., but there are still five rolls of black fabric stacked for black capes. She will also need to make another dress.
