School Reviews

5   8/25/2010
Since the arrival of the principal Kevin McPartlin, the school has made many great steps to strive to their best. The quality of academic programs have increased even though they haven't cut down on any of the programs as the other schools in this district. They have programs for their seniors to pass classes, proficiencies and to get ahead of the game. Cowboy SPURS, one of their successful programs have helped many seniors create resumes, apply for scholarships and meet with colleges. In fact, the students of this school have won over 3 million dollars worth of scholarships, when in the past year, they have only won 3,000. Chaparral High School also has the largest music program in all of CCSD. This made them eligible in winning one million dollars from the Women's Philanthropy. They come equiped with a very modernized theater named after the executive producer of CSI, Anthony E. Zuiker. The awards this year took over two hours to finish. Starting from unexpected Outstanding Senior awards to scholarships prized as much as half a million dollars. A scholarship named after a beloved student, Tanner Chamberlain has also been part of Chaparral High School as of 2010.
