BEDFORD - A taxi driver was assaulted and robbed by two passengers in the parking lot of Fox Lane High School, police said.

Fox Lane High School is a public secondary school located in the town of Bedford, New York. It is named after the road, Fox Lane, that begins just to the side of the school's driveway. Considered one of the better public schools in the Westchester County, the school's main rival is John Jay High School, located in Cross River, New York.
Administration
There are two assistant principals, Brian Davidson and Robin Schamberg. Asst. Principal Davidson is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the school while Asst. Principal Schamberg's responsibilities include overseeing student activities, academic testing and grade reporting, and heading the Learning Resource Team. Both work together on school endeavors & projects.
Renovations
In recent years the school has undergone several renovations; these include the school's commons & theater in 1990, library in 1993, and cafeteria in 1999. Currently, the school is towards the end of a multi-million dollar renovation that began in the summer of 2005. The entire construction project was expected to be completed by the start of 2008-2009 school year.
