School Reviews

5   2/17/2011
Positives: This is an excellent elementary school that is providing a deep foundation for my child. The teachers are great, most have good degrees, and there is little turn over. Music, art, and Spanish are offered. The building is ancient but well-maintained. There is a very active and supportive PTO and parents are very involved. After school programs are offered. Negatives: The front desk staff are terrible. They are NOT friendly, don't return greetings when you try to be friendly, will talk on the phone (obviously non-business) with their back to you ignoring the fact that you have entered the school and need assistance. I could go on and on. I actually asked someone once if the front desk staff were volunteers or something because they certainly don't act like they are being paid for a job. The security of this school is terrible. Many of the classrooms for the younger students don't have doors. There is a self-check-in process and given the fact that the front desk person(s) are ignoring you almost anyone could get in. Additionally: The principal of the school is not very warm and fuzzy but she is always professional.
