North Moore opened its doors as the first High School in Moore County, located in Robbins, North Carolina. In 2006 North Moore High School was named one of the best schools in the nation .The School is located in between High Falls and Robbins, the cost to build the school was about 1 1/2 million dollars. The Class of 2008, made history with a large amount of money rewarded in scholarships, and it was also the biggest graduating class in the schools history.

The school's SAT score average over the past three school years was 1036/1456. There are 44 teachers on staff. The class of 2008, had 148 graduates and the enrollment of the school is near 624. There are close to 16% Hispanic students and 11% African-American students in attendance. There was close to $100,000 awarded in scholarships to members of the class of '08. The School possesses superior ratings for the band at Marching Band Festivals.Spanish and French are offered as foreign languages. The school maintains a 95.46% average daily attendance rate among students. North Moore also serves as an evacuation site in the event of emergencies for the upper portion of Moore County.
