NORTH RIDGEVILLE — A former Lorain County resident flew into space yesterday aboard the space shuttle Atlantis. NASA astronaut Charles Hobaugh, 48, is a 1980 graduate of North Ridgeville High School. Hobaugh, a colonel in the U.S. Marine Corps, has logged more than 600 hours in space, according to NASA.

North Ridgeville High School is a public high school located at 7000 Pitts Boulevard in North Ridgeville, Ohio, 20 miles west of Cleveland.
The school colors are dark blue and gold. The mascot is the Ranger. The school is a member of the West Shore Conference. North Ridgeville's traditional archrival is Midview.
