In a fairly close election, Norwood school district voters chose Bob Harris and Calvin Calhoun to round out the Norwood School Board for the next two years. Tammie Tabor, Marty Schmalz and Andrya Brantingham have two more years on the Board, and now Harris and Calhoun are in for four.

Doc Williams has been on the Norwood school board for the past ten years. He graduated from Norwood High School, and his family roots go all the way back to before the homesteading act even existed.

Norwood High School is a public high school in Norwood, Ohio. It is the only high school in the Norwood City School District. Norwood High School has a number of distinguished graduates including former Joint Chiefs of Staff Joseph Ralston, professional baseball player Carl Bouldin, professional football player Marc Edwards, the late pro wrestler Brian Pillman, photographer Michael Wilson, actress Vera-Ellen (movie "White Christmas"), artist Diane Pfister and GCC developer Andrew Pinski. The Drake Planetarium, located in the high school, is named after astronomer and astrophysicist Frank Drake and is linked to NASA. Norwood High School owns the 1936 state title for baseball.
The interior of old Norwood High School, now Norwood Junior High School, was used to film several scenes appearing in the motion picture "An Innocent Man" (1989), starring Tom Selleck.
