Oscar Fuentes was known to run outside at the sound of a bouncing basketball. Friendly? You bet. Annoying? At times. On Saturday, the 9-year-old was shot dead in his D.C. home.

D.C. police swarmed Columbia Heights Saturday night seconds after 9 year old Oscar Fuentes was shot. Police say the boy was inside his apartment when the gunman fired a shot through the door, striking the boy who was standing behind the door.
