Come to the square in Celina for the 30th annual Lynn Stambaugh Celina Fun Day. It will begin at 6 a.m. with a pancake breakfast sponsored by the Men's Christian fellowship group. There will be plenty of food and craft booths. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with various bands.

Many people who were unhappy with the Celina city council's decision at Monday's meeting to grant a one-day variance of the ordinance prohibiting public consumption of alchohol took their case to the Celina ISD school board meeting on Tuesday.

The Main Street Program invites everyone to come to the square for Halloween from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Oct. 31. There will be face painting, a surprise activity for children sponsored by the Chambersville Tree Farm, scary music and a costume parade around the square at 5 p.m. Businesses not located on the square are invited to come and park around the downtown square and hand out candy.
