The 2009 Boys State delegates have been named and 13 area high school junior boys will be attending the event. Boys State 2009 will be held through May 30 at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M in Miami, Okla.

Several area high school junior girls have been selected to attend Girls State, a program of American Legion Auxiliary. The event will be held May 24-30 in Thurman J. White Forum building on the campus of University of Oklahoma.
BBQ dinner set for Sunday in Hillsdale (The Enid News & Eagle)

A barbecue dinner by donation, sponsored by Great Outdoors Club, will be held 12:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at Hillsdale Community Building. The menu includes barbecue beef sandwiches, potato salad, baked beans, pie and drink.
