Even if you don’t have kids in Norwood School, it’s your tax dollars you’re voting to have spent. “If it wasn’t for those tax dollars,” some gained by the mill levy voters approved two years ago, “we’d be in trouble,” said Bob Harris, current school board member and candidate.

What another great week for Norwood Mavericks. If you see any athletes or coaches in town, give them a pat on the back, because Norwood traveled away all week and brought home the wins.

Mary White has been cooking kids’ meals for over two decades. When she came to Norwood School, she had never managed a food program, however. She was excited, and talked about serving fresh food, getting rid of the processed items. She discovered that she had a lot to learn about nutrition.
Harris, Calhoun to fill Norwood School Board seats (The Norwood Post)

In a fairly close election, Norwood school district voters chose Bob Harris and Calvin Calhoun to round out the Norwood School Board for the next two years. Tammie Tabor, Marty Schmalz and Andrya Brantingham have two more years on the Board, and now Harris and Calhoun are in for four.
