It is nice to see that Dr. Cafaro writes such good reviews about his school as well as his self.

I would not recommend sending my child to Georgetown High. The principal and his staff do not put the students of GHS first. The administration of GHS are only concerned with furthering there careers and not helping the students, unless, of course your child can possibly make Dr. Cafaro look good. As for the poor C and D students, good luck trying to find an advocate at GHS.

This school offers the most Advanced Placement Courses (9)in Georgetown County. Four (4) PACE courses are also offered. Additionally, there is an honors program for gifted and talented students in the core curriculum areas. The GHS faculty and staff are dedicated to meeting the needs of all students. Approximately 25% of the students have IEP's. Although the challenges are great, GHS offers a quality education for all students. The Career Center offers a wide-range of vocational and career courses that include welding, agriculture, culinary arts, cosmetology, business and computer courses, graphic arts, automotive technology and collision repair, and health occupations. The school also offers a variety of incentive programs that reward students who exemplify good character and academic achievement.
