The District 6-4A cross country meet, which will run on Thursday (Oct. 29) has changed its venue. The meet will be run at Azle High School beginning with the varsity girls race at 9:30 a.m. The varsity boys will race at 10 a.m, followed by the junior varsity girls at 10:30 a.m. and the JV boys at 11 a.m.

Southwest is the first marching band from the Fort Worth district ever to advance to the state competition, district officials said. Mansfield's Legacy High School is that district's first band to reach the state-level contest as well.
