Korean War veterans honored at Hanford Cemetery (The Hanford Sentinel)

As the U.S. flag waved above and leaves rustled in the chilly autumn air Wednesday morning, more than 200 Kings County veterans, friends and family members stood in silence while a short procession of motorcycles carrying flags honoring all branches of the military made a showy entrance at the Hanford Cemetery.

Veterans Day is Nov. 11 and American Legion Post 3 of Hanford is once again honoring the occasion at the tank. But this year, the organization is paying a special tribute to Korean War veterans, who post officials say are often forgotten.
