Portions of 82-year-old Hemet Elementary School are literally sinking, so students and teachers will temporarily abandon ship. Hemet Unified School District's governing board late Tuesday evening unanimously approved a plan to send some 750 students and faculty to the campus of Helen Hunt Jackson alternative school when the new school year kicks off.
