In memory of Karla Ford, a former Maypearl High School student-athlete, the Maypearl High School cross country program is hosting the second annual Karla Ford Memorial Run at Lakeview Camp and Conference Center on Saturday, Sept. 19. The center is located on FM 66.

Maypearl High School graduate Rachel Holmes was selected by the Texas Girls Coaches Association to the Class 1-3A East All-Star team. Holmes graduated from MHS with honors in 2009 after on outstanding senior season on both the volleyball and basketball court.

MAYPEARL — The Godley Wildcats drove into Maypearl on Friday night tied at 1-2 in the District 15-2A standings with the Panthers and left in sole possession of third place behind solid pitching from Rowdy Allen, and clutch offensive performances including an inside-the-park home run from Landry Martinez.
