The school was opened serving grades 7, ,8, 9, 10 and would gain a grade/lose a grade until the first graduating class of 1993. Montwood also has many academic programs such as Advanced Placement, Gifted and Talented, Dual Credit and Synergy. Montwood High is located on Montwood right off of Loop 375.
