- Westfield High School is a high school located in unincorporated Harris County, Texas, United States.
- The school, which serves grades 9-12, is a part of the Spring Independent School District. The school, in the Westfield community, has a "Houston, Texas" postal address.
- The school was built in 1976, and was originally called "Spring High South", serving the district's freshmen and sophomore students while the junior and senior students attended the main Spring High School campus. In the 1981-1982 school year it became a full four-year high school and its name was changed to "Westfield."
- Westfield High School is accredited by the Texas Education Agency and the Southern Association for Secondary Schools and Colleges.
- In the spring of 2002, the school received designation as a Recognized School by the Texas Education Agency. For the last two years, the Lone Star Cup has ranked Westfield in the top five schools for excellence in academics and athletics in Texas 5-A schools.
- Approximately 3,200 students in grades 10-12 attend Westfield beginning in mid-August and ending in late May. About 1,500 students attend the Westfield 9th Grade Center. Most classes are 50 minutes long for seven periods a day. The fifth period is 70-minutes long to enable students to earn up to 7 credits per school year. The school year is divided into two, eighteen-week semesters.
- History
-
In August 2006, Spring ISD opened Carl Wunsche Sr. High School, an optional career and technology academy which accepts student applicants currently attending Spring ISD's high schools, including Westfield, Spring and Dekaney. Westfield at one point had a ninth grade center across from their west parking lot at 1500 Southridge Road. The building was also formerly the original Bammel Middle School building up until January 2004 when the new ninth grade center opened to relieve overcrowding. Spring ISD later decided to convert the building into the Dr. Edward Roberson Middle School, A Math, Science and Fine Arts Academy, a new magnet middle school which will open in 2009. The past 2 years, Westfield High School's graduating class has consisted of over 1,000 students. Approximately 1,018 seniors graduated in 2007 and 1,040 senior in 2008.
