South Tahoe High School (STHS) is a public secondary school in South Lake Tahoe, California that is part of the Lake Tahoe Unified School District. The school mascot is the Viking, and the school's colors are blue and gold.
In 2004, the school underwent a massive renovation which featured the installation of heated sidewalks and a renovation of the offices. Recently, South Tahoe High School was honored as a "top 1000" secondary school in the United States by Newsweek Magazine.
Athletics: South Tahoe's athletic teams compete in Nevada for proximity. The Vikings compete in the Sierra League of the Northern Nevada 4A Region which is the large school level. South Tahoe has had success in boys soccer and girls cross country recently. The boys soccer team won its third straight Region title in 2006 and the girls cross country team finished in second place.
