Cody Journell, a freshman from Giles High School in Pearisburg, is making a push to be the third kicker in three seasons at Virginia Tech. According to a report from Virginia Tech, Journell booted a 54-yarder from the left hash to edge Matt Waldron in Monday’s competition.
