The La Crosse Spartans announced today the first signings in franchise history. The players signed will attend the team's training camp which begins in February. A roster of 45 can be carried into training camp, with a cut down to 21 active players by the time the season starts in March.

Logan High School is one of the two public high schools in La Crosse, Wisconsin in the School District of La Crosse. Despite a recent shift in high school attendance area boundaries, Logan High School has not met an enrollment target set for the School District of La Crosse high schools. Logan High participates in WIAA Division 1 in many sports, and Division 2 in others, such as football .
President George W. Bush delivered remarks on Education Accountability at Logan High School on May 8, 2002.
In 2005, current principal Scott Mihalovic won the La Crosse Tribune Person of the Year award stating, "Scott Mihalovic, who as principal at Logan High School provided steady leadership during a challenging period at the school."
History
In August, 1979, the new Logan Senior High School was completed near Swanson Field on the north side of La Crosse. The new school was a 3-year high school during the 1979-80 school year. Logan High became a four year high school (grades 9-12) in 1980 with the reorganization of the district and creation of middle schools.Two classroom addition wings for the math, social studies and world language departments have been added due to increased enrollment. A multi-purpose addition was finished in the fall of 1997, which provides music and athletic practice and performance facilities.
