Cypress Ridge High School is a secondary school located in unincorporated Harris County, Texas. It was established in 2002 as Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District High School #7.
In mid 2006, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) rated the school as "persistently dangerous"[1]. Students were given the option to transfer out of the school for free. The administration at Cypress Ridge felt that the label was an inaccurate portrayal of the learning environment.[2]. The rating was challenged and revoked early September 2006 because of the incorrect reporting of crimes that were committed on the school campus.
