School Reviews
2 2/17/2011
Academics are average at best. Most teachers teach basic level and no special academic programming to stretch or support gifted students. Parents are not encouraged to be involved. Most teachers hand out grades and don't seem to communicate much feedback on work to assist in learning process. Facilities are outdated but that is a budgetary issue. Guidance counseling is negative, unhelpful and even demeaning to students when seeking assistance and when addressing issues. This may be at the core of many problems at this school. Spoke with several parents after conferences last evening and encouraged them to contact administration regarding their feedback and experiences. Also encouraged them to write reviews.
Review Willmar Middle School. Reviews should be a few sentences in length. Please include any comments on:
- Quality of academic programs, teachers, and facilities
- Availability of music, art, sports and other extracurricular activities
