    Saunicia Wallace-Williams was recently inducted in the National Junior Honor Society. She is an eighth-grader at Gray's Creek Middle School. She is the daughter of Mack Williams and Andrea Wallace-Williams of Hope Mills.

    Cheers to my husband, Christopher Smith, a volunteer driver for the Cumberland County Chapter No. 46 of the Disabled Americans Veterans, which provides transportation to veterans who have medical appointments at the Durham Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

    1. Flu shots will be offered at the Health Pavilion North Family Care today from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The facility is at 6387 Ramsey St. The cost is $30 for the flu shot, $45 for a pneumonia shot. Shots are free for those who have Medicare Part B cards.
