The Colorado Springs Fire Department says firefighters have extinguished a 1/2 acre grass fire burning near 2455 Mesa Road in Colorado Springs. The fire was burning in the area of Holmes Middle School.

Ty lives a well-rounded life. He excels not only in sports, but also in academics. And he makes time to help those who are less fortunate than he is. The ice hockey player, who plays lacrosse in summer, will start sixth grade at Holmes Middle School on Aug. 18 — somewhat reluctantly.
