  • Bell County High School is the only high school in the Bell County School System in Bell County, Kentucky. It accommodates grades 9-12. It is commonly referred to as BCHS. The current building was built after the flood of 1977 and succeeds the former high school (known as Old Bell County High School) which was heavily flooded in '77 and is in a flood plain. The high school has many clubs and groups as well as sports and academic organizations.
  • Clubs and Groups: National Honor Society, First Priority, Beta Club, Air Force JROTC, Drama, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Future Farmers of America (FFA), Future Home-makers of America (FHA), Marching and Performing Band, Health Occupation Students of America HOSA.
  • Richard Mason placed 1st in the state BETA club convention in the Social Studies test.
  • Sports and Academic Organizations: Football, Basketball (Boys and Girls), Baseball, Track and Field, Cross Country, Volleyball, Golf, Academic Team, Science Olympiad.
  • The football team won the 1991 Class AAA state football championship.
  • The academic team went 16-0 in the 2005-2006 regular season and placed 5 in state.
  • The Science Olympiad team placed 3rd in the 2006 state finals.
