Seagoville High School is a public secondary school located in Dallas, Texas, United States, northwest of the city of Seagoville. Seagoville High School enrolls students in grades 9-12 and is a part of the Dallas Independent School District.
Seagoville High School serves the DISD portion of the city of Seagoville, as well as small parts of Dallas (including Kleberg) and the DISD portion of the city of Combine.
Classroom Arrangement: The "A" building, which houses the auditorium, also has a few classrooms inside. The choir, band, and JROTC rooms are all located in the "A" building.
Any classrooms beginning with "B1" are located on the first floor of the main building. Many of these classes are science classes. Other rooms located on this floor are the school cafeteria and attendance office. The drama room is also located on this floor, as is the (original) gymnasium. The second gymnasium is located next to the first. Three separate stairways lead to the next floor, as does one elevator.
Any classrooms beginning with "B2" are located on the second floor of the main building. Many of these classes are English and social studies classes. Other rooms located on this floor are the library and counselor suites. Classes that begin with "C" are also on this floor.
Portable buildings are located behind the main building. Most of the portable buildings are math classes. The field house is located among the portable buildings.
Landscape: The area Seagoville High School stands on is very large. Most of the area is covered by either grass or dirt. Many trees are on the property. There is a small pond on the property, with actual living beings inside, including a group of freshwater jellyfish.
School uniforms: Policy FNCA (Local) Effective the 2005-2006 school year, Seagoville High School will require all students to wear a school uniform. All clothing must adhere to the guidelines below. All garments must be of an approved color as per the guidelines established in this dress code policy. Uniforms will be required the first day of school.
Slacks and Pants All slacks and pants (no jeans) must be a solid color: Khaki, navy blue, or black. Slacks and pants can be pleated or flat front, appropriately fastened at waist. Slacks and pants with loops require belts Material can be cotton, canvas, corduroy, linen, polyester, or twill.
Tops Shirts and blouses must be solid white and have collars. Turtlenecks and polo shirts are permitted. All tops must be worn tucked inside pants, slacks or skirts. Tops must be long or short sleeves. Logos must be manufacture trademarks only and no larger than one inch. DISD or school logos are not limited in size. Undershirts must be white.
Shorts, Capri's, Skirts and Jumpers Skirts, jumpers, shorts and capri's must be solid in single color of khaki, navy blue or black. Knee length or longer is required.
Jackets, Cardigans, and Sweaters Color should match an accepted uniform color and worn over a collared shirt, turtleneck or polo style top. Jackets cannot have hoods. DISD school logos are permitted and are not limited in size. All DISD issued school jackets are permitted. (No hoodies).
Footwear Athletic shoes must be black or white. Loafers, dress shoes with a heel of two inches or less and other closed toed/closed heel are permitted. Mules described as closed toed and open heel are appropriate.
Backpacks All backpacks should be a transparent (clear) or mesh.
ID Badges Badges will be furnished by the school and should to be worn at all times.
Feeder patterns: As of 2006, Seagoville Middle School is the only middle school that feeds into Seagoville High School.
The only PK-5 elementary school that feeds into Seagoville High School is Kleberg. Seagoville Elementary, which is PK-2, feeds into Central, which is 3-5, which ultimately feeds into Seagoville Middle School.
