The Ohio Division of Wildlife recently gave the school that distinction. The school is the 100th WILD School Site in the state. It earned the designation for its many projects where students — and the community — learn about and benefit the wildlife and the environment while enhancing the habitat of wildlife.

Berea High School is a high school located in Berea, Ohio. It was founded in 1882, and the current structure was built in 1929. It was the first of two public high schools in the Berea City School District, the other being Midpark High School. Berea High School serves grades nine through twelve.
The school colors are scarlet and royal blue. The school's fight song is Ohio State University's "Across the Field."
Alumni
In 1971, Berea High School graduated Jim Tressel, who later became head football coach at The Ohio State University. At the time, his father Lee Tressel coached at nearby Baldwin-Wallace College. 2000 graduate Alex Stepanovich played college football for the Ohio State University, and later in the National Football League for the Arizona Cardinals, Cincinnati Bengals, and Atlanta Falcons.
