School Reviews

5   4/23/2008
Considering the lack of funding, the quality of academic programs is fairly high. There is an excellent music program, with a gifted teacher. Sports are offered. The facilities are old and rundown - state funding should be sought to improve them (but California is in a financial crisis, so there you go). There are some inspired teachers at this school, and there are some slackers as well. The best part of the school might be the student body. The kids are quite tolerant of diversity (although racial diversity at this school is minimal), and bullying is minimal. It would be nice if they were more overtly supportive of each other, but I think, compared to other schools, they are doing a great job. A good percentage of students continue there education after high school, many of which go on to four year colleges successfully.
