School Reviews

Other than the few staff members that truly care about a child's educational atmosphere and experience within it, this is by far the worst school in the Blount County Schools system. My judgement is based on staff character, academic curriculum, overall student's college readiness, accessibility for minorities (racial, physical, mental, etcetera), and lastly, the complaints of previous and current student body. Parents, if you are considering enrolling your child in this school I beg you to seek out better options. The only benefits this school has is an outstanding sports program and newly constructed facilities. If you value your child's education and mental health whatsoever, consider a different institution. April, 2021

Common Core Math is killing my childrens love for math. The lack of interest in spelling is a terrible thing. My girls are in the 5th grade in BES. I will have to say that if I don't see an improvement in the curriculum and see more opportunities for the students to suceed I will pull my child out. My children need to be prepared for college. That is my top priority.
