Best School I Have Went To, For The Rest Of My Like, I Will Remember This School.

This district (especially the middle school) has lost a third of its students over the last few years to yukon and mustang. They have given up on academics and rely on "fun" and play to keep the students wanting to stay there. Many teachers try hard but student discipline from the 4-6 grade center was non existant so 7th graders come with few academic skills. Many teachers are forced to teach 7th graders on a 3rd grade level. Classroom discipline is all but impossible because kids are used to playing games and filling in picture handouts from their previous years. Teachers attempting to introduce bookwork or thought provoking lessons are immediately turned off and met with abusive behavior. Teachers tend to scream and cry a lot. I dont blame the kids, but a district who has abandoned education for the sake of saving student population dollars because of the bleeding losses. Finally, if you are a Christian and value our American way of life, you will need to know that this is a strongly progressive philosophy school district. You are better off sending your kids to okc schools where at least they have some gang control and students wear uniforms. This was a good school 10 years ago, but has decayed into a horrible mess. Dont be fooled by the pretty new buildings, the insides are rotten.
