School Reviews
5 2/17/2010
Wyman's environment is nurturing and the teachers, for the most part, are both dedicated and competent. Art and music programs (including instrumental performance) are a plus at Wyman. The 'ALAP' advanced learners program, although woefully underfunded, is a gift from heaven. From our experience, student deportment is good. The PTA is active and supports the school with book fairs, field trips, a science night, and other enrichment. The library is adequate but it could use more computer workstations. The downside to Wyman is that a sizable segment of the student body is not as motivated to learn as it should be. At its roots, this problem is a parenting issue, but it does negatively impact the classroom. That said, with a reasonable amount of parental oversight, a child can be expected to flourish at this public school. Wyman Elementary is an asset to our community.
Review Wyman School. Reviews should be a few sentences in length. Please include any comments on:
