There are numerous wrongs with this current school district of Balsz. The classrooms status of kids per classroom currently sits at 30; therefore overcrowded. Balsz now converted to Tillman Middle School with the help of the Tillman Group due to lack of other organizations willing to invest in the district and poor investment funding. Staff is outnumbered resulting in the increase of inappropriate behavior and failing to properly monitor student safety. Tillman Middle School has no safety resource officer resulting in an increase of illegal use of drugs, students walking off campus, and students wandering around campus with no supervision. The Tillman Middle School contains no proper system in regards to its special education department. While one is in place, student placement in proper special education classrooms needs a complete overhaul. Special Education administrators are not positioned at a campus site; therefore resulting in complete miscommunication and lack thereof. The Tillman Group under its resources has provided higher levels of academic programs and facilities since its involvement. Tillman Middle School currently resides in numerous extracurricular activities resulting in requesting for additional funding through government and private donations to support the overhaul of facilities. Despite the Tillman Group involvement, the campus is unsafe without some type of safety officer.
