Hanover is fine for the average to good student who wants moderately diverse class choices and who wants a reasonable shot at getting on a sports team because of Hanover's moderate size. I would recommend it for the average to good student.
But look elsewhere if your child might have some learning issues. Consider nearby Lake Central High School as that corporation is said to do better in discovering and aiding kids who might have moderate learning issues.
The Hanover counselor said teachers would first evaluate if my child should even be tested. And she broadly hinted it was UNLIKELY he would even qualify for a test.
We removed our second child and he is in alternate online education. He was an adopted child (born on heroin and cocaine). we found the school VERY reluctant to test him for possible mild learning issues.
Hanover staff did try to help...some individual teachers tried to help...but other teachers mainly yelled at him.
I am not recommending this school...for any child with possible mild learning issues.

The students are, for the most part, fun to teach.
More parents should be involved in seeing to it their kids are performing. Great school overall!
