We switched to this online/ blended high school after we moved in from our of state, and it''s been a good decision so far. The option of online with in-person days gives the right balance and structure to the kids to advance at their own pace. There are fewer distractions, staff is very supportive and they treat students more as individuals rather than just numbers. We''ve been enjoying all the communication from teachers, coaches, advisors and the principal. They emphasize the parental support is vital to succeed and we agree with that, in order to complete the goal school provides for free a big set of programs and school apps that makes it easy for us parents to follow along the way. For example, when learning about similarities in triangles in Geometry, the teacher would provide the codes to access the related IXL section to continue practicing the lesson. keeping track of that progress is really important to get the grasp needed in math. The school also counts with a set of CTE programs with hands on learning, tuition-free as well and last, but not least, they provide with guidance to graduate or how to dual enrollment while still in high school. It might not be among the best of best schools in the area, but to us, it is. They truly help and encourage students to get better and find their way to progress. That makes a big difference with other schools, after all, there''s nothing like a good foundation in education to make your dreams come true, and this school fulfills those expectations.

Although home school is safe for kids, this school, gives WAY too much extra work, and does not follow the I.E.P's for kids with dyslexia very well. Fir example, these 'extra websites' that the kids have to use is BS. Just like a normal classroom, the subjects NEED to be kept IN the online class connect at the time the class is in session- none of this, GoFormative, Moby Max, etc.... if regular schools can keep the subjects in, and during the scheduled time for a subject, then this school needs to do the same. And as far as homework goes, some kids with I.E.P.'s are supposed to have LIMITED homework, this school has not yet. followed this in the I.E.P It may be nicer to be at home to do school work, but, in comparison to a regular school, there is too much work, and not enough time between the kids sitting down for SO LONG, online.
