School Reviews

Not going to lie, the other student who wrote a review seems a bit biased (I doubt they''ve had any experience with other schools), so I shall give a review based on my own experience in my almost full four years here. First of all, the students are eh. Some are amazing while some are words that I may not say in a review. It honestly really ranges, some are very nice to me while others claim I do non-child friendly art (I do not for your information, arigatogozaimas), and as someone who is not white (Korean), I can say nobody is truly racist or sexist, so that''s also a really great thing about the school. The teachers are also good, again I''d say it varies but everybody gets at least a 7/10 or higher. The teachers also do a good job encouraging hobbies (my 7th grade Science teacher notably) and try to make it fun (though not all succeed). The lunches are eh, not good but not bad. Bullying is very minimalistic despite obvious friendly teases that literally nobody I know takes to heart (besides when people were softer in 5th grade, but obviously aren''t anymore). I will say that there have been problems with the 7th and 8th grades, I won''t go into detail, but that''s the first time something like that has happened in my years here, and first for many teachers (if not all). They block stupidly unnecessary websites (because tectonic plate simulators are now banned?), but I guess to each their own, I won''t complain too much. They have a band which I was in for two years, very good teacher. The chorus teacher all does music. The specials are also great (music, tech ed, gym (twice), health, computers, art, and robotics), which are rotated every so often. This is getting really lengthy so I''ll shut u-

the swampscott middle school is one of the best schools around. their academic programs are fantastic with great quality. all students are well rounded and everyone likes it there.there are many available extracurricular activities such as music, art, gym, creative writing, project adventure, health, home ec.,industrial arts, chorus and band.there are also sport teams such as the field hockey team, soccer team, basketball team, lacrose team, ice hockey team, baseball team, and much more. each team is well coached and has done well in many events. all of their facilities are clean and provide everything you need. parents can be as involved as thy want at this school. you are not forced to be apart of the PTA, but you can easily be a member which is well apreciated. if there is a class or team party parents can help out with providing food and drinks. the educators are great, each one with many talents and easily visible skill. the students are well rounded and are very intelligant. i would recomend this school to many.
